The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Kano Region has informed the public that the 132kV Kumbotso–Dan’Agundi Transmission Line was taken out of service at 10:28am on Thursday, 29th October 2026, to enable the completion of erection and stringing works on Road Crossing Tower 27 for the Dan’Agundi Flyover Road project.
The outage is expected to last until 31st October 2026. Consequently, customers of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) in parts of Kano metropolis and its environs will experience power interruptions.
To minimise the impact, TCN has transferring some feeders from Dan’Agundi Transmission Substation to Dakata and Rimin Zakara Transmission Substations, where applicable.
