The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has disclosed that bulk power supply has been restored to its Katampe 330kV Transmission Substation through the Gwagwalada–Katampe 330kV Line 1.
The restoration of power happened by 4:15pm on Friday, October 9, 2026.
The restoration followed the earlier loss of supply through the Shiroro-Katampe 330kV Line 1, which remains out of service due to a fault.
Meanwhile, the planned maintenance work on the Gwagwalada-Katampe 330kV line 1, involving the replacement of defective line isolators and the associated earthing switch, has been suspended to enable the line supply Katampe 330kV Transmission Substation.
TCN has apologized apologises for any inconvenience caused to electricity consumers in the affected areas.
